LA28 Projects

The Bureau of Engineering is working to make Los Angeles Games-ready and leave a legacy for Angelenos.
The Bureau of Engineering is leading work on a number of projects to support the successful delivery of the LA28 Games.
Projects include:
BOE is leading work to support access to the Valley Sports Park venue in the Sepulveda Basin. Building on the Sepulveda Basin Vision Plan, BOE is delivering new safe crosswalks across Victory Blvd and a new pedestrian gateway, which will better connect the area to residents on the northern side of the Basin.
BOE is also extending the Los Angeles RiverWay from Vanalden to Balboa, which will connect the Basin to the entire West Valley via a new off-street bicycle and walking path. BOE will accelerate construction of the essential pathway connectivity in time for the Games so that Angelenos have a car-free way to travel to events at Valley Sports Park with their families.
BOE is accelerating sidewalk repairs along key venue approach corridors throughout Los Angeles to ensure that residents and visitors have safe and accessible sidewalks on their way to the venues. BOE is already in construction along Sunset Boulevard leading to Dodger Stadium and will break ground on improvements near Expo Park, Downtown, and the Sepulveda Basin later this summer.
BOE is supporting the delivery of LADOT active transportation projects, which provide citywide connectivity to venues and other destinations, including design and construction management support.
